The structure is comprised entirely of hot dipped, galvanised steel, ensuring long lasting strength and resistance to corrosion. All nuts and bolts are of stainless steel.
Walls are comprised of vertically positioned, heat-treated, Thermowood™ pine siding. The wood is FSC certified and, treated without the use of chemicals in a patented process, ensures a stable and durable product which we have selected also for its aesthetic value. This wood has been our preferred choice for over 4 years.
The roof is made from high density, north European birch plywood with a phenol external surface. This construction offers excellent stability and high UV resistance in external usage. Cut edges are treated with acrylic to prevent humidity ingress.
The door is curved and made from galvanised sheet steel. It opens on a simple sliding mechanism and is held in place at four points for maximum resistance. The door is lockable from the inside with an occupation indicator on the outside but can also be unlocked from the outside in the event of emergency. A separate, integrated lock allows the cabin to be shut permanently from the outside by key if required, for example at night. This lock features a European cylinder which can be changed. The door handle is made from 316L standard stainless steel.
The oblong shape of the KL2-pmr cabin and the modular design means the cabin can be oriented in relation to the demands of the site. The cabin can be swivelled 180°, the chimney and the door being assembled to the left or right as required. No matter how the site is configured, the door will always face the access and the STK will always face the sun.
The internal layout conforms to technical regulations relating to persons of reduced mobility, as prescribed in French law, 11 February 2005 and as verified by the certifying organisation, APAVE.
Internal equipment, including toilet paper dispenser, antimicrobial gel dispenser and hand rails are made entirely from stainless steel and the internal design facilitates cleaning and maintenance, by high pressure water if required. The exterior of the cabin features an engraved, wood sign indicating an accessible toilet, which can be customised according to your requirements.
The standard KL2, being circular in design, can be rotated to any direction, taking into account site access requirements and the orientation of the STK.
